Hey, guys.
I'm glad I finally finished this webcomic/print story episode I had under a rock for ages:
https://tapas.io/series/NL4W/info
Episode #1 is an upbeat paced life of a caricaturist crunching 17 hours every day.
Here's the cover art preview:
And the thumbnail that got the cover art started:
NL4W intends to be a romance, gaming, and underground drama for grown-ups.
I have some W.I.P. material, such as the story diagram and storyboard. Lemme know in the comments if you guys wanna check that out.
Thank you in advance! Cheers!

Hey guys, here's another inking for my portfolio (or Instagram). It is a pre vis/ vis dev/ storytelling preview and development for episode #2 of my project NL4W (Never Lost for Words). I'd like episode #2 to be drama-romance like ep#1 but get, in the mix, gaming themes I love, like TMNT, Megaman, Sonic, Marios etc.
This one is a fan art of Megaman /ロックマン. More like a-fan-art-of-another-fan-art (or #drawinyourstyle). I was inspired by the [OP]/originally following fan art:
Which is a fan art from 1999 by a great friend of mine, https://www.instagram.com/lucas_fernandes_s/ or https://www.instagram.com/nanuzine/ ...At the time Lucas was inspired by Björk ("All is Full of Love" music video), Ghost in The Shell and Evangelion.

Thx, man! Btw, I used a size A1 sheet of paper, about 46" x 32" inches (!) for the traditional inks. If you guys want more space to ink (Art-Adam's-inspired-etching for e.g.) give a big canvas a chance!
[update] [MATURE CONTENT] [NSFW]
Here is a characters illustration for my web and print comic #neverlost4words episode two (#2). Anatomy fundamentals traditional Posca pens on a sheet of paper (A2 canvas, 23"×16").
And, again, here's episode one (#1) https://cutt.ly/neverlost4words

Thx for letting me know, man. I just looked on the Message icons/buttons and so on to find that way of making the content hidden before they can be seen. Maybe it is some checkbox in the image thingy(?). Nope. Hopefully, it won't be necessary, 'cos it might not bother anyone, but if anyone knows how to make content hidden before it can be seen, please let me know in the comments below. Thx in advance!
[live stream] [Concept Art] [Traditional Media]
So, here's an update for my webcomic #neverlost4words episode two/#2: I streamed a scene concept work scratch/roughs/thumbnailing. It's like an exercise for "world" creation (not really a whole world, more of a big establishing shot scene). I did what is called "Closing Doors", a technique by Riot Games. I used traditional media (penciling for now) to scratch/roughs --"thumbnailing for ideation"-- the visual direction for goals and look/styles.

Wrap up content in a spoiler tag.
This is the code
" [spoiler ]boobies [/spoiler]"
Just be sure to have no spaces within the brackets, I did that to break the tag so you could see it.
But fwiw, this is an art forum, general nudity in your drawings should be fine to post. Never seen anyone complain about NSFW.

@Zorrentos pointed out some important aspects of inking on my old/previous sketchbook post -- here's the link: ganso's sketchbook [occasional concept art unfinished scribbles & fine art croquis] -- and here's my follow-up:
I'm a big Art Adams fan, and when I can and am up to I do focus more and get better results at materials read. So here's that, the following has materials that --intend to-- read properly (very Art Adams influenced, heheh):
*(I'm developing the episode #2 of my NL4W series, and this is one of the cameo characters that might be part of episode #2)
Cheers!

I've been having a hard time making episode 2 of my fanzine/webcomic. Storytelling is one of the most difficult arts to learn/practice. So, after a long haul, I'm deciding to do my episode 2 as a sort of a collage of illustrations instead. It will be random, but fun (episode 1 took me about one year, no fun --yikes). Thinking about it.. I see it as a progress.. As far as a fanzine goes, (imo) it's not a major problem
Cheers!

I've finally made the 1st (first) page of episode 2 of my fanzine/webcomic! Here it is, hooray!
https://www.facebook.com/gansogeeksout/p...003918536/
*Let me know if the link works. Thx!
So, to cut it short: This was briefed to be dark, but doesn't look dark to me. Nor humorous, though it is kinda surreal and satirical take on a current phenomenon, between the extremes of normal and abnormal. My hopes is that it *DOESN'T* feel didactic, 'cos that would suck. It's an establishing shot of a surreal world.
Cheers!

Thx, man. Cheers to you too :)

Today I finished a double spread, which was a use of perspective to create a composition of a series of sketches and inks I did separately.
--> You can check the finished piece here: @ NewGrounds (!)
..You could also check the trad inks and pencils comps (of everything into one combination) right here:

[WIP]
.. This is a print of the digital artwork in progress
In this inking stage I'm also doing flats. There's a thing you can do for faster flats on CSP (Clip Studio Paint) for those who want to learn it, here's a screen capture/process video of me doing the flats thing/trick without commentary on Youtube: https://youtu.be/67P5a8K5uYU. And I believe it is also possible on PS (Photoshop). To me it saves a huuuge amount of time, and I've seen even the masters such as Feng Zhu *NOT* using this technique, but instead, he scratches all the un-wanted areas with an eraser, really taking time that could allocated on other things, more major.
For those who don't know NL4W (Never Lost For Words) is pure dope underground webcomix for grown-ups. And this might be episode #3. Cheers to that! e dope underground webcomix for grown-ups

I'm hoping to do more finished art, more often than usually. But I feel that before doing some high polished 2D painting rendering I need to do some warm-ups. You guys know that Artstation has a Learning video library that is still free, right? I followed along two of their classes:
The first one was the warm-up I needed, I followed every step, only difference is I doddled my own vehicle from imagination. Loved the class! Really wanted to learn to better use Sketchbook Pro (which is free). Here's the link to the class: here if you want.
Then I moved on to another 2D painting class from Artstation. Here's the class link, but I gotta be honest: it only served me as background sound, 'cos what I ended up painting had way more to do with what I previously learned from Marco Bucci YouTube Channel<<the link. *Since January is "Creatuanary", I picked up the prompt and done a humanoid female zebra:
And that's it for now. Cheers!

Here it is, the new episode one (1) of my sequential art attempt to create an anthology of individual episodes, about the journey of art education, exploring a variety of genres and plots, always leaving the main important questions unanswered. Here it goes: nl4w-never-lost-for-words

Hey guys, remember the one fan art of Megaman /ロックマン, fan-art-of-another-fan-art (or #drawinyourstyle)? I previously posted here the inking for my portfolio. Here's the digital painted version of it:
It was inspired by the [OP]/originally a fan art from 1999 by a great friend of mine, https://www.instagram.com/lucas_fernandes_s/ or https://www.instagram.com/nanuzine/ ...At the time Lucas was inspired by Björk ("All is Full of Love" music video), Ghost in The Shell and Evangelion. We share the love for some gaming themes, like TMNT, Megaman, Sonic, Marios etc.
