Hey guys what's up, just wanted to stop by and do a somewhat of a formal introduction as i spin on my chair typing this.
Some of you might know me from the Draw or Die group and some of you might not (nor really care) haha. :/
But i'd like to say hello to everyone and i'm looking forward to jamming out with the new Crimson family.
I've started a sketchbook where i'll be growing alongside you fucking monsters.
So far the community has been very welcoming, we're gonna have a ton of Draw or Die people come through, so if you could also be awesome to them, that'd be great. :)
looking forward to kicking some serious ass with you guys in the near future.
I am Mark from Guyana South America, if you can find that on the globe lol!!
Anyways i am a full time Graphic Designer which takes up 80% of my day at the office and the other 20% i spend with my three girls and my sketch pad. I love drawing and i am still learning, I like lots of pizza and playing video games in my spare time.
I am also Draw Or Die on Facebook which is an awesome group.
So it's good to be here and hoping to make friends and see all you guys stuff.
I thought I would drop a few lines to introduce myself, and say hi to this wonderful community.
I usually get called Joy on the Hangouts in the Facebook group Draw Or Die, and if you so desire, you can continue that tradition as well.
I have always liked drawing, and to be fair, going into that group shifted a lot of my perception as to what I considered good artwork, as well as opening many doors to some new concepts, as well as giving me directions to go further.
I am still learning, and I am nowhere close to any of you guys, so expect a lot of the basics to be thrown at you as well as value studies and other things I get to learn and apply as I get along.
I hope to take my journey further and continue to consolidate my skills, as well as potentially landing a few tips on how to start freelance, or just a job as a character designer, someday.
I'll throw some old pieces, so you could see how it was before, and some studies I did lately, after i joined that mighty Facebook group, that ultimately guided me to you to further my own knowledge and possibly make a few more art buddies.
This the must harder thing to do even if it's virtually , so i'm Edgy i'm an illustrator i like all kind of art, sci-fi, birds and tree, i like the sun and air, i like to ride unicorn, never talk to me about Pokemon, i listen to music very loud to avoid the children screaming when they play outside , i do gardening when i'm bored, i got a cat called pencil and also a dragon called copic, i love sugar i don't eat meat, and i hate all the things made with milk, sometimes a answer to question and sometimes not it all depend if i had a good night, i believe in extraterrestrial life, Illuminati is my uncle, and please never be serious life is too short ! have fun.
I'm Dr.Chainsaw
I'm 18 years old and a recent highschool graduate, I've been studying art for 3 years but despite having the want to improve I never had the dedication(also quite a bit of distraction from life), my work basically looks like that of a very early beginner even after all this time.
I saw the sketchbooks on this forum and they're very inspiring! I'm going to start one myself in hopes of getting myself to pick up the stylus and start drawing, and hopefully I can get out of this long plateau.
My name is Razvan and I'm a 20 years old mess. I say mess because I can't figure it out what I want to do when it comes to art. I know few Photomanipulation, few Graphic Design, few Videography, Photograpy stuff and alternatives, but I think my childhood favorite thing to do pops up again, and by that I mean drawing. I drew a lot back then , mostly shit or copied stuff but now I feel like I want to learn to do it more professionaly, mostly digitally but I think I have to start all over again with traditional first. And for this I need help . So my questions are: What should I start with? What kind of books do you recommend me? Where to look to learn without anything to distract me? Basically give me the best advice you can give.
Hello everyone.
I'm from China and my goal is to be a concept designer.
I started practicing digital painting more seriously on the year 2014,that year I copied artworks I liked to get used to drawing digitally and trained my eyes for observing proportion, value and colors. The year 2015 I started learning some anatomy and doing more photo study, till now.
This year I will practice more stuff and I am eager to learn faster to get a related job(means more painting, even at work!),so I want to find a place to meet more friends on the same way,and get more critism, guidance, maybe a little encouragement.
And I find this place, and I DO hope it's the place I need!!!
By the way,I'm a self-learner,for now not so convenient to attend a class, but I'm thinking over this.
And I practice only spare-time,still have a job to do,not so related,so I'd like to change it soon.
I'll create my sketchbook today, and keep it going as well as I can.
Just doing a quick introduction. I've been drawing off and on for quite a while, but didn't really start taking it seriously, or studying the proper way until a few years ago...even now, I'm not sure if I'm doing it the right way, although I think I'm slowly getting there.
Been to a few different sites, but it's become increasingly difficult to find a community that helps on consistent basis (admittedly, I don't critique as much either...not that I don't want to, but because I feel like my knowledge is so limited).
Anyways, been lurking here for a bit and I'm finally going to start a sketchbook (hopefully) today, so I'm just going to post a self portrait I did a few weeks ago.
My name is Pedro Maranhão, I am from Brazil and an aspiring digital artist
I come to know about Crimson Daggers since I followed/stalked Amit on DA for a long time, while I knew this place I shied to join in until now
I am joining to find new friends and motivation to keep the art grind going into a new level. I hope I can get along with all of you
