Hi! I'm just a 21-year-old guy who wants to learn digital painting, and is taking this year to get serious about art. :) I heard about this forum and it sounded pretty awesome, so I just signed up.

What else is there to say- well, I'm a total beginner when it comes to digital painting. I'm working on my traditional drawing skills so I can dive into PS with confidence. I aim to develop a good work ethic and connect with other artists, which is why I joined this forum, ha ha. :P I've always wanted to paint spaceships.

I'm inspired by space exploration, conceptual art, SF/fantasy illustration, robots, animals, and graphic novels. I want to be able to render my own concepts. I also think Bobby Chiu is a real badass artist.

Hi everyone!

My name is Karolina, I recently had the obvious realisation that I was always meant to be an artist (at 32). It's a confronting realisation, from both a regret at wasted time, and a 'what now?' perspective.

I've spent the last 10 or so years working in marketing, doing the odd bit of graphic design, and a few illustrations (I studied fashion design). It just feels like I've been orbiting the thing I actually really wanted to do, which was to make art!

I'm committed to doing it this time. I'm really interested in light and interactive art, although I'm starting with some painted studies exploring the concepts I'm interested in while I learn some of the technical things I need to make the kind of art I'm working towards.

Just found out about this forum.
I recently graduated with my BFA from UMass with a focus in painting and drawing. When I'm not killing it in Smash bros. Wii U or Monster Hunter 4 on 3Ds, I'm plugging away and trying to improve on my technical and conceptual skills. Looking forward to be apart of community to grow with, and think I found the right place.

Hi everyone. My name is Morpheus, and I am an aspiring comic book artist. I've been doing tons of research on art this year and recently came across Dave and his forum. It looks like a terrific place to start posting my work online and getting feedback from others, something that I've always been afraid to do... But we gotta step out of that comfort zone, yeah? I don't have many (any) art friends in my life, as I am entirely self taught, so I hope that over the next year I can talk and meet with new artists on forums like this one. I'll be posting some of my sketches on the online sketchbook forum on this site this coming weekend, so please check it out and critique!

I'm a student living in Belgium, crazy enough to try and become a concept artist.
I currently am enrolled in a course wich trains us to be technical artists, so we do get some drawing and painting, but I need an extra source for learning.
