Been meaning to do this for a long time. Name's Dave. You guys may have seen my stuff on Creature Spot or some other various forum in which I frequent too often. I'm thrilled to finally be participating in the Daggers. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the coming years.

I'm new to this place and I'm big fan for crimson daggers and their support.Their right awesome!:).My name is Andre and I'm 29.I've been working and studying a lot as usual:)wanting to improve everyday.

I mostly done Hyperrealism in pencil work and I'm trying to step away from copying images and become a freelance concept artist illustrator and make more stuff from imagination but it feels like I'm getting to old.I do still believe I can make it tho.

  Hello Daggers

Hi everyone. My name's Chris, I'm 26 and I live in the Falkland Islands.

I used to draw a lot til I was 17, but kinda stopped for further education. About 4 years ago education started turning into an awful grind, and stumbling across Dave Rapoza's work on dA planted a seed in my head. I thought 'here's a guy about my age, creating awesome art from home for a living' and decided I needed that to be my life too. When he started the Crimson Daggers livestreams he talked a lot about how to improve, the kind of mindset you need etc and I tried to take it all on board.

For the last 4 years I've been teaching myself (JUST managed to scrape by in Uni) but I've never been good at showing my work online. I think my art had always disappointed me so much that I never wanted to show it or attach it to my name. Recently I discovered I'm no longer ashamed of my paintings, and I'm pretty proud of how far I've come.

So, I think the next step is showing my work. I'm at a point where I need input from other artists and really want to be part of the online community. I feel like I know the Crimson Daggers pretty well because I've been a lurker since its inception, so this was the first place I thought of. I'll start a sketchbook soon and throw up my latest stuff, but in the mean time my site and blog are in my sig.

Looking forward to having some conversations!

Hi!
My name is Tristan, I'm 17 and live in Sweden. I've drawn for as long as I can remember but for the last two years or so I've started to take art a lot more seriously and come to the conclusion that I want to be a freelance illustrator.

I kinda do a bit of freelancing now but that's mostly doing album covers for swedish heavy metal bands and stuff like that.

As i said, I want to be a freelancer and I'll do anything to make that happen. I hope this will be a good place to learn and meet like minded people. So... Let the adventure begin!

Hey, I'm extremely new to this, I've heard some amazing things and I am really really wanting to improve my art.
I see people who come here and how much they improve, so I thought it might me time to jump on I suppose.

I suppose I should say who I am :/
I'm nicholas (nic :/ ) I'm seventeen and yerp, that's about it ahaha

I'm absolutely horrible with forums, I tried CA but didn't really know what to do or how to use it, so if any one could help me out a bit, that would be awesome.

I've seen some of the critters on YouTube and they are AWESOME

  A bit about myself
Posted by: TalloDare - 05-14-2013, 02:12 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - No Replies

Hello there

I took up drawing about 15 months ago after not having drawn for about 8 years. I'd been passionate about drawing as a kid and teenager but I fell into the trap of believing that I'd never get anywhere with it, that I needed to focus on other things to go to Uni and get a good job. Now I have the 'good job' and all I can think about it how I can not do this for the next 50 years, I need to do something I can be passionate about. I didn't really expect drawing to be that passion, it's more something I just took up because I remembered enjoying it, but it quickly snowballed and now I'm confident that's the direction I want to head in.

I'm hoping to use these forums to catalogue my work in a sketchbook and to motivate and push myself to keep improving. The community seems really nice, it looks like there's a lot of focus on helping everyone improve and I really like the idea of the bloodsport challenges and hopefully I'll participate in those later.

The goal for this year is to focus on creation, I'd spent most of my first year turning myself into something of a glorified photocopier and I realized about a month ago that my ability to create figures, enviroments, etc was very poor. The long term goal is to turn it into a career before I hit 30 (I'm currently 23)

Here's a couple of my earliest drawings, about a month in

Slowly but surely though I've been improving though.

Hopefully I'll see you soon in my sketchbook.

Hi, i'm Sin (son in my languange, but i like that in english has another meaning :D) 24-year old and i really want to become illustrator and concept artist... i'm now on firsth month of Kimon Nicolaides's Natural Way to Draw, so that's taking most of my time... and my biggest problem (amongst many other problems) is digital art because it's really odd thinking to me, and i'm not really precise with it, i have intuos 5 but i need lots of practice. So now to shut up, here's some work. :)

Hello! I thought it was about time to join in here, so here I am :) My name is Fernando ,I'm 23 years old, and I don't even know wtf I really want to do in art ( I thought it was concept art before but not so sure anymore) yet there's a goal that I'm certain of: I want to get better just for the shake of it and I want to interact with others who have the same goal, cause everything in life's better when shared ( except the drugs xD) so I'm gonna try to be as active as I can having in mind I have to take a 1 mile walk to get anywhere near internet and I'm lazy, so there ya go!

Glad to be here, hope this is the begining of a long friendship muahaahah!
