Hi Crimson Daggers!

My name is Zachary McLean, I'm 16 years old and have been working as a concept artist and illustrator for approximately 2 to 3 years. I live in Alberta, Canada and I'm currently in high school. I do some freelance work, but am mainly doing personal work to build my skills as an artist.

Since I was a small child, I've been immersed in art and design. My grandfather and father are both great artists and I continually am inspired by them. I am working very hard to peruse a career in what I have grown to love and am trying to find art schools that have good programs in drawing/painting/concept art.

I hope to build up my skills in traditional drawing and painting and my main goal is to do lots of life/photo studies over the next few months. Since joining this community, I have really realized how important it is to draw and paint from real life, and want to be pushed to do so through the contests and activities going on here on Crimson Daggers.

Hello all! new to the forum so i figure an introduction is in order. My name is Ian, Im 22 and living in Los Angeles, currently attending the 3 year program at Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Hoping to get somewhere in the video game industry but my heart is more in concept art and illustration, I have drawn/doodled my whole life but it wasnt till i started gnomon that i really understood what being a concept artist was so i have been buckling down and trying to paint as much as i can, im Sure i have tons to learn from all of you and i cant wait to get into this.

I also wanted to start a google hangout group of painters so anyone interested let me know! always have fun watching my fav. artists hangout and shoot the shit while they paint and i love that atmosphere and i want to see it happen with all artists, not just the ones who can support the viewers.

Hit a wall in my progress lately, and I was hoping you fine folks could help. It seems like everyone here is pretty serious about getting better, so I thought I'd try posting some stuff.

By the way, is there a faq or anything on posting images? I feel dumb for even asking, but I tried posting something just as a test run and I couldn't get it to show properly. Any tips?
