I've been here for a while, but I didn't introduce me *shame on me*.
Hey everybody. I'm Jhonny, 21 years old and Belgian.
I'm a big fan of digital painting, but for now I just keep it as a hobby. I always dreamt of becoming concept artist, but I'm not putting everything I've got in it (so by this I accually mean the risc of success and moving out with my girlfriend, stuff like that).
I was student at Digital arts & entertaiment Belgium, but I've noticed I learn faster myself and there's corruption, it's very expensive and not specific enough in my opinion. Anyway I hope to learn a lot on the forums from everybody and hope I can help myself when I'm getting better.
I think I'm painting for about 8 months now.
If anybody got some questions feel free to ask :)
Hi to all Daggers! I'm Alonzo from Philippines, aspiring illustrator. I was wondering what is crimson dagger before because I have seen from fb friends some links and just visited the page and that is how I ended up here. As this is my first post and introduction to myself. I'll attach an artwork I've done weeks ago
Thanks everyone, I think I will hangout here oftenly.
I'm new here. Came from CA.O from hearing good things from Pychotime and Gangstershit whom I believe is Roal Duke on CA.O.
I also lurk around DeviantArt, however not as much lately as it's basically just pat on the back kinda crap and the forums aren't all that great.
I'm a freelance digital artist/animator, finished my studies last year and am currently undertaking a diploma of visual art alongside freelance work. Currently doing commercial graphic design and advertisements.
I plan on working in the film industry as a matte painter/animator/landscape artist/ modeller kinda guy.
I'm a 27 year old guy trying to become a digital manga artist. I spent a lot of time figuring out what I wanted to do but never seriously considered being an artist until last year. Even after I had a wacom tablet and was sketching every couple days I never considered that -I- could make a living doing art.
But Hoorah! Somehow I just decided to do it and 7 months later I've come a good ways. Somehow the road ahead keeps getting longer.. and longer.. but I think I'll make it :)
I'm really looking forward to being a part of a community like this and hope I can be a good member.
what's up guys.. just another schmo hungry to go pro.
trying to put my money where my mouth is daily here: http://www.livestream.com/djreader
try to go on at 9am gmt+8 for an hour or two, but it's been less that a week and i've already had to change the schedule twice. anyway, trying to get on everyday at least for a little bit and so far it's been a really great motivator!
also, set up a skype just for daggers/artists to chat and hangout: dylanjreader
i'll turn it on when i'm streaming and accept any adds. feel free to also add me on FB and twitter (links in signature)
I thought I should finally make an account here and start posting stuff, because I'm starting to take this art stuff very seriously.
So, a quick introduction. I'm 19 years old and live in Finland, Helsinki. I've always liked drawing, but it wasn't until I turned 18 that I started taking it more seriously. After I realized this is definitely the thing I want to do, I bought myself a Wacom Intuos4 and started experimenting with digital stuff. Now the first year for me was all about exploring and getting to know this world I'm about to enter. I discovered a lot of great artists and learned a lot about myself, drawing and stuff in general. I also improved a lot, but not as much as I could have. I don't think I wasted time or anything though, because a lot of the stuff I discovered during that first year of exploration has helped me go through some hard times. During that first year, I set up my mind to be ready for the failures and victories that were going to happen in the next several years.
So once a year had passed, I registered to conceptart.org and made a sketchbook. Since then I have been practising pretty hard and I have learned a LOT. At the start I didn't update the sketchbook as often as I should have, but now I update much more regurarly.
Anyway, it feels great to finally start posting stuff in here and I'm very eager to see what lies ahead on this wonderful journey of mine.
I've heard good buzz about this community and i'm looking to recieve some critiques, improve my art, network with other artists and just share in the love.
I hope to get to know you all and I hope you'll get to know me
I am am so happy to find this place! I found it by, ironically, through a controversial topic on CA.org. I did not join into the debate, but I saw a few people mention Crimson Daggers a few times and thought to find this place.
I study in illustration. I graduated in 2009 and I have been painting since. I enjoy painting dragons and other fantasy creatures. I have a quirky design style which does not always comply with reality.
It is my goal to keep improving. I would like to have a steady job in art at some point. I love concept art for games and films, but at the current rate of productivity and skill level I don't think I will be able to make it into this area.
I started drawing 3 years ago, wanting to become a concept artist but after seeing that I had no significant progress, I want to finally abandon this slacky lifestyle and take my art and to the next level. So finally today I had the courage to just click the register button, stop lurking and finally be here.
I hope to learn all sorts of stuff with you guys :) Please take care of me :)
My name is Jesse Suursoo, self-taught artist with the goal of becoming a good concept artist.
Despite following the Crimson Daggers for a while, but now I took courage and confidence after practice and more practice, to join me in the group and participate in the Blood Sports, I particularly think the maximum.
