Hey guys, just decided to join, and thought I might take a stab at the next competition.
I'm a sculptor mostly (traditional with a dash of zBrush) and a painter (mostly oils, but trying to get better at digital) and wanting to make sure I keep my artistic muscles loose with projects like this.

Also, I've looked about but not seen this mentioned anywhere, whats the usual timeframe/deadline for each Bloodsport?

Hi, so when I registered here I wanted to go by "Jens", my name. However, someone (an usurper) had already registered with that. A quick check in the member list told me this guy hadn't been logged in since February, so i assumed it cool to register with an underscore at the end, kinda like in Ender's Game =) (I'm so incredibly clever)

About me: I'm 22 years old and live in Sweden. I spent two years studying engineering and economics, but a couple of months ago I realized that I really didn't want to work with that stuff. So I decided to take a pause in my studies and figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. And so I braced myself to call my mum, thought she would freak out, but she just said something like "I was more surprised when you decided to study economics, I always thought you would be an industrial designer". Thing was, I had never heard about industrial design, but I checked it out and found that she was right, industrial design is what I've always wanted to do. So I need draw and paint a lot more and more seriously than I have previously done, and since I have looked at Dave's youtube channel from time to time I knew about the crimson daggers, and decided to come here. Nice to meet you!

Oh, and I feel kind of lost with everything about this at the moment, so any advice or pointers about how to get the most out of being a part of this community or drawing, design or anything that may be relevant It'd be really cool if you could share it with me

Hi everyone. I been watching all your vid's and crit's the past week, and what you guys are creating is amazing. I love the attitude, I love the work I cant wait to see how this community will grow and how everyone's work will grow.

I've been feeling so unmotivated lately. I want to push myself to get better everyday. I will be posting work everyday. But the daggers have grown so much. I've always watch but never wanted to participate because of fear. But always feel free to leave me all the criticism you want because I have so much more learning to do.

Hello, was quite reserved about joining here as I saw it hassle to constantly update numerous sites with my crappy attempts at improvement.
I read a blog post by Dan warren, and it resonated really strongly with me, and inspired me to push even harder. so Here I am.
My skill completely sucks but will hopefully change with time. If anything, I hope to inspire others to work hard with the volume i plan to post. I won't post everything, just a few selections.

My plans are by the end of this year to have completed over 600 digital studies outside of my traditional sketchbook studies.

Forgive me guys and girls but the instant I joined this forum, I instantly cringed, and now It seems I can't remove the account. I've joined forums before and they just aren't for me. it's the wrong kind of work mentally. jumping from site to site uploading, clicking that refresh button, waiting, hoping people will connect with me, eating away at the time I should be using perfecting my skill. every second counts.
