,Hello there.
My name is Jonathan Dockal, I'm currently studying to become a concept artist. I was formaly a student over at the Art Department in the animation course before the school recently shutdown, as of right now I'm enrolled over at CGMA in the Character Design course.
The issue is lately i've felt burnout and depressed (OH BOO HOO) with my art and that i'm not progressing at the rate that i wanted to have or at the level of skill i would have like to have been at this point in time. I realized that the times that i made the most progression was when i had other artists to talk (which is something i don't get over at CGMA,Tumblr,FB, ect...)
However, my understanding is the people here are looking to become AWESOME! and i want to do the same.
So I'm happy to join and learn from you all and i'll see if i can help too possibly.
I'm new to Crimson Daggers and this is my very first post. Yay!
My name is Penny and I love to draw. I live in the US and I recently graduated with a degree in Communication Design. I hope to share my knowledge , learn and make new friends here. Feel free to get in touch. It will only make me happy :).
im hOmy, first year architecture student.
just found out about this site, hope to find a few friends here and share my works to everyone and improve my skills with your help :)
Hey guys, what's up. Uh, I'm not great with introductions. I mean, y'know, I can write, yeah, but uh, I don't like to talk about myself much. Drawing what I wanna talk about is more my style.
Anyway.
Finally realized that if I'm gonna get any better than what I've got, I actually need a community to do that. Lone wolfing it sucks, basically; and it's nice to have friends to help out, y'know? Anyway.
Looking forward to chatting it up and working alongside y'all. Let's get crackin'.
I'm Olof. I'm an artist looking for some feedback while learning new things.
Previously I worked for EA DICE as a 2d artist, but last year I left and went traveling instead. Currently I'm in Sweden but traveling was really great so I hope my career can bring me abroad in the future.

Completely newbie here (I never frequented the forum neither the website)... I came here with a desire to communicate with other artists, this year was a big deal for me, I finally decided that this is the path I'm taking in my life. And I'm fully committed to it. But sometimes it feels quite lonely and discouraging, I felt that joining this forum would be nice to get inspired by others and receive critiques/learn together and etc. I am studying graphic design in university, but there's not much depth into the illustration field, so I'm "self-teaching" myself through internet/tutorials and practice. I'm in love with animation and concept art, my real goal would be to get in any of those fields, but really, anything related to art/design amazes me.
Well, I'm up for talking with anyone in any skill level, I mean, I'd love to be a part of a study group or having study buddies
.... Well, weirdly enough the avatar I did resemble a bit the design of this website, it was a coincidence though lol
I used to draw and chat while watching the Crimson Daggers streams as often as I could way back when. Eventually I decided to unplug from the internet art communities for a time and lost touch, but now I'm back and ready to get drawing and painting again.
Drawing comes to me naturally, but I'm no Michelangelo. My skills are rusty and I aim to fix that. I'm mostly gonna push myself to work in traditional mediums, but for online uploads I may upload digital works more than anything just because my scanner is a pain to use.
I'll try to contribute and help in anyway that I can. If anyone ever wants a fresh pair of eyes to look at their work pm me and I'll do my best to help.
Hey ! I'm new to this forum , heard about it several times and thought I should give it a try. I'm not much of a forum guy but I hope to get used to it. My biggest problem is to keep myself motivated .... sometimes I have bursts of "driving" (very anime alike) and I do something like 1000 gesture drawings in 4 days but most of the times I'm really "dry".
I hope joining this forum will help me towards that. And ... I think one of the things that would help me the most is having a mentor.
If ya guys could direct me a bit towards that (I get a bit lost in all the threads) or even have other suggestions as well that could help me in any way possible ... please do tell !
