I'm Mozaki, an aspiring artist, currently studying with the art department, and also with studio technique.

I guess you could say i'm trying to draw, paint, and animate, as three of the main directions.

As for goals, it's three fold. I'm practicing mainly for Dip Pens, trying to become as good as Katsuhiro Ootomo (creator of Akira). Also, I aim to paint as well as James Gurney, and animate well enough to work for someplace like Disney. One of my side goals is to create a graphic novel as awesome as Blacksad. That's pretty much my plan for the next 5-10 years. Not too ambitious I hope.

There's not much of my stuff online, except on DA, which has all my pony related art (frankly my best compositions, but they're all more of a hobby to practice composition and storytelling), so I decided to come here on a friends recommendation to basically join in, share thoughts, and hopefully...have fun.

'Having fun' is in all seriousness the most important agenda on my list, but what I find fun is sharing, learning, and creating...

Hopefully you lot would be a friendly bunch of daggers, if, sharp pointy knives could be considered friendly at all... crimson knives that is...*gulp*

Just found this site today via going to a livestream of one of the artists from here.

I'm not technically starting out from nothing, but I also am not anymore learned than someone starting out. I do well following other people's works to an extent, but this year I've started being more serious and working a lot of hours into doing studies without guidance, and I have a looooot to learn.

My name is Todor Hristov. Im 29 years old concept artist and illustrator from Bulgaria.
Ive been workin in this sphere from around 1 and half years. But in general i've studeid arts my whole live(highschool and university), and i have been workin as an art teacher and graphic designer after i've graduated.
Generaly bein a concept artist in my country seemed like some distant fantasy and the whole crysis situation we got here last 20years made it even worst. Thats why... ppl with some art education and talent generaly went in to graphic/industrial design professions. Trying to make a leaving selling fine art originals also is almost impossible...even now.
But even tho around 3 years ago i decided to improove my art skills.. generaly my drawings. And thats traditional drawings with pencils. After 1 year i've got a job offer to work for a small web/app game dev studio, wich noticed my uploads in cg hub. The payment was bad but... sein an opportunity to work something ive allways dream of, this was the right way to go.
So there.. like 1 and half years ago first touched graphic tablet.
I guess i've got the hang of it pretty quick and now i work for better company and we are soon about to announce our future game project of wich im the main concept artist.

Joining this forum because i realy enjoying bein a part of the art community,love Dave Rapoza and Dan Warren's work, watched all the videos in youtube, ... and im still having a loooots to learn so i hope ill get some help, and maybe ill be able to help others.

Also love that you got Gym's and daggers subforum :D (im training from almost 6 years now)

I came about this sight through a Google search, actually. I was looking for a random creature generator, and the search brought me here. Then I got curious and looked around...and thought, "Hey! I kinda like this place, I'm gonna join~!"

Anyways...I enjoy drawing, even though I don't have a wacom or any of those things. I don't even have a mouse, I use a laptop touchpad

I hope to find some inspiration here...and perhaps some new friends as well.
