Hey there guys,
My name is Gabriel Ramos, but you can call me Xiaogabe, Gabe, or whatever you'd like.
I joined this community because a friend suggested it to grand regards and after exploring a bit, I can see why. Very nice community, something I wish I could see more often.
I am an illustrator student, enjoy doing both traditional media as well as digital, but I'm majoring in Game Design, Concept Art. I would prefer to just do illustration, but as a career choice at the moment, concept art seems like a more 'viable' option.
Enough of that! I enjoy helping people in any way that I can to get better in every way I can.
I hope to become an active member of the community, and meet many friends.
Have a good evening!
-Gabriel R.

My name is Robert Stein and I recently realized that I should probably do something I love, so I talked to my boss and cut down my working hours to spend on art.
So now I'm just trying to land with both feet and to be able to focus fully on art, by applying to schools and finding ways to improve as much as I can. So that's why I'm here.
I hope to learn a lot from you guys, and I've been skulking around here for a while already and it seems like a great place!
/Robert

Hi
Im a 31 year old guy from Finland. I have wanted to make webcomics for like forever and maybe even do art for a living someday (dare i hope?).. But my biggest problem is that i have no discipline and i procrastinate way too much.
To change myself, i was about to start a sketchbook thread at the ComicDish forums. My thinking was that my top priority should be to make drawing daily a habit, instead of only drawing when i felt like it (and there have been months when i have not drawn anything!).. So if i manage to cultivate a habit of drawing daily, even if its just for 15 minutes, it would help a lot! I think its a lot like deciding to go for a walk. Its really hard for somebody who is a couch potato to decide to go for a 3 hour walk, but it takes far less willpower if you walk to the supermarket and as you are walking to there you decide to do a little detour, maybe walk 500 meters past the supermarket. And then gradually, you each time increase the amount you walk.. and before you know it, you'll be doing 3-5 hour walks regularly. Well, im still in the fat couch potato stage when it comes to doing art
Anyways, i happened to watch some drawing video on youtube and somebody recommended this forum in the comments. This place looks to be much more active than the ComicDish forums, so i thought to start my sketchbook thread here instead

Hello!
My name is Linda, I'm 23 and from Sweden. I've been meaning to start posting here for ages, but you know, life. It's funny. Will probably stumble about like some first year student at a new school for a few days. Either way, I'm a graduate from a university program in game development, got a Bachelor of Arts with Media Arts, Aesthetics and Narrative as my major. Or so my degree says at least.
While working in the game industry is a dream for me, like for so many others, I'm currenly trying to get jobs as a freelance illustrator. I've mostly been working on my own, which I'm growing a bit tired of so I'm slowly but surely trying to get over my nervousness for forums and start posting on some. I was something of a hermit in school, prefering to sit at home in my apartment and paint rather than hitting the bar with my fellow students, so I've mostly been selfstudying and trying to improve on my own with what I can find on the internet and in books.
Aside from that I enjoy litterature, movies, music of varying kinds, games, history, travelling, myths... Something of a artbook hoarder...
Cheers!

Dear Crimson Daggers,
I am terrible at intro

ductions, so I'll get to the point.
I have stumbled upon your community whilst finding ways to better my own. I am an acting ambassador (of sorts) from The Viziers. We are a Gaming "clan", who's major focus is participating in a system of online roleplaying like none other. We are striving to make our system as akin to pencil/paper rpgs as we can.
I deeply admire the Character, Creature, and Scene Generators that you guys have hosted here. Excellent job Dennis, I was wondering if I could have your permission to host them on The Viziers' website, with a link to their original threads, of course.
Let me just add that I also admire all the artwork I've seen here. I just recently purchased a Bamboo tablet, and my progress with it has been, lacking to say the least. Kudos.
And last of all, if any of you want to Register on our site, to chat, snoop, or even join us, you're welcome to. I understand, for appearance's sake, that this does not seem like a legitimate community. We're in the process of migrating websites, and I apologize.
Website: http://theviziers.forumotion.com/
I hope that our two groups can become subordinates, if not friends. Thank you for taking the time.

Wow, I didn't get to introduce myself last year so's my chance lol
My resolution in life is to be more active on the internet, and to draw. I'm already 300 pages away from reading this book cuz I get stressed out not knowing how to draw properly so until then, my sketchbook has to wait..haaaaaahhh--
... It is nice to meet you Crimson Daggers xp
I have a number of options to call myself but you can call me Apol
Female
I like conspiracies. For some reason, children's shows haha.
Please bear with me and hope to meet a lot of new people.

I registered a while ago, but never really got around to getting started on the forums. I've been having a lot of trouble getting started at really practicing and improving on my art lately, so I've come here to motivate myself to post work more often and really step up my game! I currently study Game Art at the HKU in the Netherlands, but they don't really offer anything good so self studying as much as possible is the best thing I can do at the moment. ^^
Anyway, yeah, hi. Haha.
