I'm new to the digital arts. I won a 'Intuos Pro M' on a small competition and it awakened my interest in digital arts. Now I would like to learn how to make 3d like creatures, realistic portraits... or actually almost everything. :) I appreciate your help on my journey. By the way, I study industrial design but it almost finished, i am in my last semester.
I send my gratitude to Toxicpanda for introducing me this forum, otherwise i wouldn't be here and know that there is a forum like this one.

Hey, good to be here among fellow hungry artists. What drew me to Crimson Daggers more than other forums is the emphasis on hardcore improvement for those who couldn't afford well-connected art schools or those fancy ateliers we all wish we could have been a part of (!)(or simply for those self-taught hero's in here where conventional paths of art education in college were not an option and is certainly now are out of reach for me).
Not to mention I'm a fan of the style, the ethic and aesthetic of the forum being in tune with my sensibilities and not least of all it's contributors and the excellent pool of talent this forum pulls in - I'd list off the big names but I'm sure I'd be leaving others out by doing so.
It's a slow climb upward for many of us but worth every step and admittedly I was never a huge fan of forums however I'm sure this is the right place for it (another tick off the new years resolution). While it would be tempting to indulge in passionate monologues I'd rather leave you with the simple phrase: labor omnia vicit! Cheers.

I've been lurking around for a while, and finally I've decided to register and introduce myself... :D You can call me Cris - as Charneco it's actually my surname - and I'm from Barcelona.
I've been drawing since I was a child -well, doodling, actually - but for some reasons I stopped drawing for 8 years and one year ago I decided to retake pencils and Wacom and started working hard on improving my art.
I think that being on this community will help me to stay motivated and to do better quality artwork. I will -for sure- make a sketchbook thread to post all the crappy things I usually do..
I hope this wasn't boring to read ;D

I'm pretty excited to be on here. I look mainly to exchange ideas with fellow rookies, seek guidance from older members, and I hope to find in Crimson Daggers a platform to better myself through critiques and suggestions:)
I've been drawing seriously since September 26th, when I got my Wacom Bamboo tablet.
My progress can be seen on my Deviant Art page: http://danilov89.deviantart.com/
I also run a livestream channel to keep in touch with people that are passionate about concept art, and to keep pushing myself harder and further: http://www.livestream.com/latenightdrawingwithdanilov89
I've known about Crimson Daggers from Styles Osunde and I realize I should have an account here some time ago, but it's never too late.
I draw because it makes me happy and I want to do this for a living, doing what I love to do. It would be a dream come true! That's about all there is to say.
:)

Hey , people :) . I'm new here , so I decided the first thing to do is to introduce myself .
First i want to apologise for my not very great english , but that's smth i'm going to improve too .
I don't know where to start from :) .
I 'm studying Landscape architecture , and that is my final year in university . And now some big questions about my future appear to me . I decided that that's not really my thing and that what I want to do is make my hobby my real job.
I haven't improved much through years in university , i mean in drawing , cause i had lots of work there , I guess i should be a lot better for my 24 years , but I hope it's not too late to make the big change now . So that's why i'm here i guess :) .
And here's my dA profile as a part of introduction - http://krewi.deviantart.com/ , from two weeks now i post in cghub as well - http://krewi.cghub.com/ , but i don't feel like i fit there :)
So this year i'll do my best to feel more comfortable showing my works :)
Thanks ;)

Hey all, heard about this place last week and I've been a bit hooked on lurking here, started getting back into art especially with a more positive attitude about making it. A lot of the stuff I've read on CD has been really motivational and I plan on setting up a sketchbook and participate in the daily studies etc.

My name's Dave. I'm currently a professional artist working full time at a studio in Chicago, but dammit, I'm just not satisfied with my skill in art.
I've had an account here for a while but always had cold feet when it came to actually posting, so no more of that! I've recently posted a couple of times on the CD facebook group, but it's pretty obvious that this where the real magic happens.
So with that all said, I'm hoping to make the most of this community to help me get my skills to AAA level. I don't have a schedule or routine set up to do art figured out, so for now I'll just try and post something new every week, be it a study, a WIP, or even some sketches, and see how that goes.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hello guys!
I started watching Dave's live streaming some months ago and I loved. It helps a lot. But I didn't have a tablet to draw, so I bought one recently and I need to practice more.
Sometime it's a little hard to just draw alone everyday that's why I'm here, to see everybody's work, to get some feed back and of course keep practicing.
I'll make a sketchbook here and push myself to post frequently.
I guess that's it and sorry for the bad english :)
