Hey people, Im a 23 yrs ol' from Brazil. Currently studying fine arts at college, and digital painting by myself (a.k.a internet tutorials etc hahaha)
I finally created a account here, and im willing to be active! I'm never active to forums I should participate, and I see I am losing alot by not participating.
Here's a little of my work:
My name's Gordon and I want to kick my work up a level! I've waited a while to join CD but I feel the time is right to come in and learn with you guys <3
My name is Bruno I have 24 and I'm from Portugal and I'm almost graduated at Multimedia Design. I work for a casino game company (is king of boring making slot machines *spin**spin*).
I make them in a 3D software because I don't know how to draw well, to make the models more expressive I make hand painted texture like those in World of Warcraft. But my dream is to make illustrations like Magic the Gathering and apply them to my work, to be honest I'm a bit lost because I don't know were to start, what tutorials are worthy and what exercises should I do.
One example of my work:
This is introduction from my self with a bit of request for help.
I recently made the switch to digital a few months ago, I was referred here earlier today and I was absolutely blown away by the calibre of work I seen, I'm looking forward to hanging out here and learning from you guys! c:
Hey peoplez!! My name is Denielle Levitowitz and I am 16 years old. I love to draw and I came here to maybe get better and get better at naming my charachters.
Hey all, my name is Gabriel, i'm 21 years old and i come from Brazil.
I've been talking to some great artists, trying to get my art better, ready to the market.
They suggested me to come to this site, because you ppl would give me good critiques and help me see the way to improvement.
I've een a graphic designer for over 4 years but in the last 2 years got attracted to more illustrative types of work. And over the last year I've been attempting to become a concept artist. That is the greatest challenge so far but hope to work through it and become a professional.
My last introduction was also my first post, and I'm regretting my extremely, well, goofy approach. I want to use this site to my own advantage, and harness whatever critique I can so as to improve. I'm unsatisfied with my drawing techniques right now, I'd love to do more digital and traditional painting rather than character designs and linearts. I've improved so much in the past year that it's staggering to me, but it's not enough to bring me peace. I want to know more.
I hope to meet new people with interests akin to mine, and give insight to people who may want advice. I also hope to be one of those people, and to grow with other artists in my journey through college and, eventually, the mission field. I'm extremely excited about life, and extremely scared. Right now things are crazy, I'm cramming so much into my day because I hope, that in the future, it will all work out okay.
So yes, my name is Brit, or, if you prefer, Sketch, and I'm ready to start this journey.
Hi guys and gals. I am new to the realm of digital painting in the sense that now I am actually taking my time and putting time into it and trying to learn how to create my own concepts for character, vehicle, and environment. I started doing 3d March 2011 so I mostly use zbrush, 3ds max, softimage, topogun, and photoshop of course. I have been having a blast hanging out with everyone in the crimson daggers google hangout the last few days. I hope to help others that want to learn zbrush and sculpting, and hopefully we can all work together.
