Wink Hello Crimson Daggers
Posted by: pandamonio - 10-16-2013, 09:35 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (2)

My name is Bruno I have 24 and I'm from Portugal and I'm almost graduated at Multimedia Design. I work for a casino game company (is king of boring making slot machines *spin**spin*).

I make them in a 3D software because I don't know how to draw well, to make the models more expressive I make hand painted texture like those in World of Warcraft. But my dream is to make illustrations like Magic the Gathering and apply them to my work, to be honest I'm a bit lost because I don't know were to start, what tutorials are worthy and what exercises should I do.

One example of my work:

This is introduction from my self with a bit of request for help.

Best regards, Pandamonio

  Hello

Hello, I'm Alex, from Montréal Canada.

I've een a graphic designer for over 4 years but in the last 2 years got attracted to more illustrative types of work. And over the last year I've been attempting to become a concept artist. That is the greatest challenge so far but hope to work through it and become a professional.

You can see my work on my website www.alexbodowd.com

And on my facebook page.

As you'll see I don't only deal in digital painting. I also design shirts and other types of merch for bands.

  Reintroducing myself-- mile stones
Posted by: Wandering Sketch - 10-11-2013, 02:53 PM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (4)

My last introduction was also my first post, and I'm regretting my extremely, well, goofy approach. I want to use this site to my own advantage, and harness whatever critique I can so as to improve. I'm unsatisfied with my drawing techniques right now, I'd love to do more digital and traditional painting rather than character designs and linearts. I've improved so much in the past year that it's staggering to me, but it's not enough to bring me peace. I want to know more.

I hope to meet new people with interests akin to mine, and give insight to people who may want advice. I also hope to be one of those people, and to grow with other artists in my journey through college and, eventually, the mission field. I'm extremely excited about life, and extremely scared. Right now things are crazy, I'm cramming so much into my day because I hope, that in the future, it will all work out okay.
So yes, my name is Brit, or, if you prefer, Sketch, and I'm ready to start this journey.

  New to digital painting
Posted by: nufftalon - 10-10-2013, 11:16 PM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (3)

Hi guys and gals. I am new to the realm of digital painting in the sense that now I am actually taking my time and putting time into it and trying to learn how to create my own concepts for character, vehicle, and environment. I started doing 3d March 2011 so I mostly use zbrush, 3ds max, softimage, topogun, and photoshop of course. I have been having a blast hanging out with everyone in the crimson daggers google hangout the last few days. I hope to help others that want to learn zbrush and sculpting, and hopefully we can all work together.

  Re-introduction
Posted by: Awynt - 10-09-2013, 01:20 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (1)

Hey everyone. It's been a very long time since I've posted here. I sort of fell off posting on forums, but I want to get back into it. I miss talking to artists!

I'm Tawny, and I am a freelance portrait artist and illustrator. I've done a couple of book covers (yet to be published, self-publishing authors) and some interior art for said books. I've also done some commissioned portraits. I live in Colorado and like to hike, camp, and read allofthebooks.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :D

  Been meaning to do this..
Posted by: yton - 10-07-2013, 11:20 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (1)

Hey there y'all.

My name is Tony and I've been drawing all my life. I graduated in 2009 from Duncan of jordanson school of art and design (as it was called then) with a degree in fine art painting. I've since locked the oil paints away to peruse a career in the Games industry. I re enrolled again this time to college from 2011-13 to study animation (I knew I should have done animation at uni -curses!!)

I'm quite new to digital art. Nearly 2 years ago now since I decided to give it a go. Not looked back. Everyday is a school day. Having to relearn things constantly.

I am especially thankful for the existence of this forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here and fantastic artists to boot.
