My name's Kat. I'm 16, from Canada. I want to learn more about art and anatomy, and Dagger seems like a pretty great place to start.
For now, I'm just saying hello and exploring the forums. I hope we all get along!

I'm Yuriy, I hail from Brooklyn NY. Been drawing most of my life, went to art college for two years and realized I wasn't learning much so I left and have been studying on my own ever since (going on my second year now). Been posting stuff on my fb for a while but decided to move to Crimson Daggers and CG hub; link to my sketch book : http://cghub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=...post210321

My name is Trystin and I am a 16 year old inspiring. Artist. I have taken just a simple high school art class my sophomore year, and that kind of helped me in my journey but I'm here to take this to the next level. I have also taken Graphic Design for 2 full years and currently on my third year, and I am also on my first year of doing a college preparation program for 3D modeling and animation. One of the reasons I am here is because I have been scowering the internet for some some tutorials or classes or something that can help me improve and become a better artist as well as hopefully get some of my work get seen when I produce something of good quality. Even though I am a fairly mediocre artist, I want to improve in not only 2D art, but as well as 3D art so I can have more of an opportunity for future jobs.
Hopefully I can improve from learning from some fantastic artists and I can walk away from Crimson Daggers as a better artist all around.

I'm Christian, a 22 year-old chump that tries to become a concept designer.
Simply put, I'm kind of good at drawing. After three years, I've learned enough to be able to copy a still life, a model or a photograph. My knowledge on anatomy is decent enough to be able to draw from imagination.
That is, using a graphite 0.5 HB mechanical pencil and a 7B proper pencil. I also am able to get interesting results with Ink.
What motivates me to join here is to take my art to the next level.
I seek to stop simply drawing a figure or two and call it a day. I want to start producing finished works, that are good enough for a portfolio.
BTW, I do prefer traditional mediums, since I have some issues with not being able to see directly your strokes when using a tablet.
I'm just too poor to buy a cintiq, and It'll take a while before I save enough for a Surface Pro or the likes of it.
EDIT: I probably forgot to add that, while I'm familiar with color theory, I've yet to find a way to apply it to my drawings. which is why ninety percent of them are black and white.

Hello Daggers. My name is James, Overthot, or guy who lurks threads.
I've been interested in art and design for the better part of my life. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Dan and Dave's website.
I've learned a lot in a short amount of time. Mostly, that work ethic pays off.
So I'm hear to share and learn from a good community.

Hi! I'm currently an art student two weeks in to The Art Department's foundations program. Not much in the way of formal art training before this, since art classes at my high school consisted pretty much of a broom closet with a few pencils in it. Since last year, I've been trying to learn what I can through books, videos, and just drawing from observation, and I'm excited to finally be at an art school. So that's what I've got to say for now, glad to be on here, this community definitely seems very helpful.
