Altough I started out with the vision of becoming a graphic designer I ended up drawing for a webcomic as a background artist and I make illustrations for T-shirts.

Hello everyone !
I'm a 23 years old male from France (you can expect a lot of mistakes and cheesy jokes [ha ha] I guess, so, sorry about that) and I'm new here. I've been lurking for quite some times but never found the courage to join... until now.

I've been drawing since forever, but never too seriously I guess, eventhough I wanted to make comic books and video games when I was younger. I started getting really serious a few months ago after stumbling upon some really inspiring post on the interwebs. Then I realised that I wanted to make art for a living and that I would work hard to catch up with the time I lost doing nothing to finally reach the level of skill I wanted. So I gathered tons of books and videos and started working from dusk til dawn and after.

That was 3-4 months ago I think.
So I work hard almost (Yeah, sometimes I'm just lazy and I feel bad for it) everyday to improve because I have way too many ideas and projects that I want to share before I die and I need to get better.
But I came to the realisation that, due to my current situation (and probably my excessive shyness and social awkwardness) I was not able to connect with other artists with who I'd be able to exchange and learn.
Also I wish someone could give me some advices on what I'd need to study next and how.

Anyway, this was long and boring so

Hello... I'm Split. I've known about this forum for a while but was kind of intimidated and hesitant to join because of my skill level. From what I've seen there are some awesome artists on this site. I finally mustered up the courage and realized that getting in contact with people who are better artists than myself can only be a good thing. I've been doodling for a long time but didn't get pretty serious about learning fundamentals until about 5 months ago. Now that I've joined the forum I'm pretty excited to get going and posting! :D

Been practicing for about a year in the dark but I feel that need to connect with a community now.
I have been doing 3D animation and modeling and started drawing because I wanted to improve my 3D skills. After drawing for some months I realized that concept art and illustration was the thing I wanted to work with. So I quit the school I was attending and now I live with my parents, sitting in my room, drawing.

hello, i'm genice. 15. female. canadian. this is my first time joining a forum, everything is quite new to me (i'm still trying to figure out how everything works and get used to the layout of the website.. haha) i started getting into digital art about a year ago. currently, i consider myself as an amateur hobbyist artist (though in the future, i'm hoping to study art at an art school, and eventually land some kind of art job) i still have a ton of stuff to figure out and learn. i'm joining this forum in hopes of getting more feedback on the things i draw, as well as meeting other like-minded art people to discuss things with. looking forward to my time here ^^
