Got the book man! Couldn't stop reading it. So much wisdom and thought for a mere mortal to know. Great inspiration to go painting again :D
So thanks for the tip!
I really like these renaissance compositions you have going on right now. With a bunch of figures clinging onto eachother. I think you could experiment eveen more with how they interact and how the eye flows from one to the next. That would be supersweet.
You should finish one of these poseidon pinups haha!
You rock socks bro!

Thanks Bjulvarrrrrrr! Glad you're liking the book. Robert Henri really understands the lifestyle lol Some of those passages hit so close to home it's insane.

Poorly compositioned brainstorming. Also need some more pose practice...

Hey it's your Pnate! Nice self-portrait. I've really gotta get on doing one for myself sometime.

I really can't wait to see the full finished version of that illustration you've been working on. The lighting and color on those faces look really good, man. :]

Really great figures, and you've clearly really studied costuming and fabric, too!

Archreux - haha thanks man, did that right after waking up. As you can see, the life of an aspiring artist is a glamorous one :) Try a self portrait out! It was super tough, especially using a mirror which I'm not used to...I should do them more often.

Tygerson- Thank you! Studied them briefly but so many secrets to unlock

Some sketches and studies. I'll post a finished thing tomorrow-learning a lot working on it.

great works. I love the lights how well they are planed and how great they work on reading the story!

That last one (and so are the others) is awesome. To be a nosey little ass like I am: how about somekind of saddle & straps under the rider? He doesn't really read that good, maybe that would help that.. (or leave him out completely?...) Otherwise I love the lighting, color, dinamism on the piece, keep it up man! \m/

Man, you've been busy! you're being mindful of the cleanliness and separation of forms in your latest pieces.

Also, your face studies are really paying off in your imagination stuff. Can't wait to see freshies from you.
