Really inspiring, I love your sketchbook, btw, on the past painting, left eye.

Impressive sketchbook! Your last sketches looks cool (this black and white tiger-head- dude reminds me how Dave Rapoza starts his sketches from livestreams) I also like composition in your works, looks pop and interesting) Wana ask some quastions: Nimao, How long are you drawing? And what things at your opinion helped you most at learning? (books, streams, youtube channels ect...)

@Gliger: thanks! yeah when i do studies i always fuck up proportions. definitely something i have to work on.

Love the loose leaves in that last enviro :)
Do you flip your images to check proportions while painting? Something like the eye of the portrait above might jump out at you right away if you do :)

@Nikt: i took it really seriously when i started this sketchbook thread. I think that must be 2 years now. before that a little bit but yeah maybe once a month and there was a time when i didn't draw at all, in my main puberty. best for learning? hmm.. i don't know i'm a weird learner. i always have the feeling i forget everything. i think just doo something. never give up. watch other artists listen to dave and dans critts on youtube. i think the best way is just do it and try to do it everyday. aaaaand just think about it most of the day. dont know if it makes sense or helps. i hope^^
@Lyraina: yeeeeah i used to xD but i get lazy about it from time to time especially when i do studies from photos/paintings. the last enviro is a studie from Asher Brown Durand "TheCatskills". I was fun. maybe i will study more on it . i'm not sure though.

Damn, Nimao. Killer job on this girl sketch of yours. I think I like the sketch a little more than it with color, but that's beside the point, really awsome stuff!
I'm liking a lot of your other sketches, too. Keep it up. :D |
