Hey man, doing sketches and paintings like these are fine but I think you'd benefit much more from doing studies that focus on construction of the face with a mind to accuracy in proportion and perspective and form.

Check out Loomis's free pdf's for a good run down.
Look up images of the asaro head to understand the basic planes and shapes of the head, and do studies of them
Also the Reilly method is great for face layins.

Focus on accuracy first, take your time, practice practice practice, and your faces will improve in leaps and bounds. Same goes for figures.

An honest option is sometime the worst and best thing you can get.I personnally think you jump into mixing to many fundamental at once .There problem with anatomy and light in those drawing .Most of them are flat looking.I know this can be discouraging to hear but i think it more important to grow that to care to much about the current skill we have it about moving in the right direction not doing the same error over and over again and sometime we need other to for that because we hit a plateau.

I agree with Darkiste; Dont make the same mistake i did and go painting so much so early. I know your friends or family will probably tell you it looks cool but you'll progress much faster if you get very familiar with the pencil. This can really save you years of pain if you take it seriously and focus on the most fundamental basic things like head drawing, figures, and perspective. Painting is just icing on the cake and i've learned that lesson the hard way, just a fair warning

your studies is where its going wrong, we need to see those to help you know what to patch up. I mean see lots of mistakes in your finished works but i could see where youre thinking gets flawed easier in some pencil work

Aye there Genesis :).

First of all well done for rising to the challenge and posting some studies.

Judging from your line work I would encourage you to check out drawabox.com to help you construct from basic 3D forms. Lessons 4 and 5 are particularly useful although you should try to do it from the beginning.

Your painting skills are already pretty good in my opinion so if you can improve your construction skills it will lift your work to the next level.

There a leak of volume on here necklace.I also think you use to much the dodge and burn tool and not enough blending.Do you know what is brush flow?More study less finish piece i say 80% study and 20% finish piece.

One more point learn about core shadow and cast shadow to separate your form.

There no point in hiding your study your hurting yourself doing that.Yes it hurt to get critic but get over it the faster you do it the better it will be.

It hurt me to see potenial go to waste because of stubborness.
