Hello all, my name is Diana. I stumbled across this forum while watching a YouTube video and I decided to try it out! It's really cool to see an art community actually try and help each other improve and I hope to contribute to that.
About me:
I'm 21 years old living in the USA. I'm currently going to school for Computer Science though I'll admit it's taking a little longer due to everything going on plus some personal things. Currently working in IT at my university. I'm usually a big concert-goer, though I'll be having to put that on hold for now. I love to play games (Switch, PS4, PC, and STILL my 3DS) with my boyfriend along with my little gaming group. Am also a big hiker as I grew up in the PNW!
I've been drawing since I was about 11 or 12. I copied a lot of anime styled art and went from there. Never learned the basics nor did I study anatomy so my progress continuously plateaued. I drew a lot of "original characters" and made up stories for them which I posted to Instagram. Since then I'd fallen out of art all together a few times, thinking that I would never improve. More recently I've picked up the pencil/drawing tablet again and realized that this is something that I am truly passionate about. Other people's art has also sparked a fire in me as I so desperately wish I were as good as my idols.
My current goal is to hunker down during these trying times and really put in the work that I was never really willing to before. Thanks everyone for reading!
Hi guys I got into this forum cause I saw Eytan Zana recommend this forum so why not give it a shot? I've started art since I was a kid but only now have seen the possible job oppurtunities it could possibly offer me. I've been really lazy doing art for some years now and maybe joining this forum might make me accountable and even level up my skills on the way. Might also get me out of my analysis paralysis whenever it comes to bigger art pieces
So I decided to join this forum after it being recommended by a friend!
I'm not an experienced artist at all - let's say I've ''properly'' drawn for like....3 weeks combined?! Started again like 3-4 days ago.
My approach is in detail and realism so you can tell I get some very ''funny'' results due to trying to draw like that with my lack of skill, haha.
But that's why I'm here! I'm looking to start showing my art more (even though you can't really call that yet) to get some criticism aka tips on what to improve on or try especially since I decided to get serious with drawing alongside Japanese.
Hope to gain lots of valuable artsy knowledge here and meet some nice people in the process here! :D
My name is BadSugar. I see that this internet community is quite supportive in suggesting improvement on each other their concept art which makes it great place to further progress in concept art.
At this moment I am watching the playlist Hobbes Sakuga (作画) MADS on YouTube which contains a lot different artworks.
One of the best current concept artists or at least one of the better well-known I know of is Feng Zhu.
Other things I am interested in are athletics,
cats and dogs
Hello guys, I’m Mosope, a 20 year old learning artist and I’m just looking forward to learning and contributing to this forum in any way I can, I have an Instagram account where I post some of my art @mo_sope_ , and if you feel I can help you in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out. Yeah I’m also available for commissions and collabs.
Thanks!✨
I missed forums, I used to lurk all the time back in the concept art days. Social media just buries everything under it's content juicing algorithms. Since this seems to be the last active art forum I'm gonna do my best to be active, and post "quality" material.
A little about myself: I like drawing, writing, reading. I got an egg head to matched my receding hairline, and I love art.
Hello, hello, I am choco, I seek to learn and meet other arts and learn together!, I would like help and a guide where to study
I joined the forum, because lately I have burned, studying in my quarantine, I feel that I do not focus well, since I do not achieve the objectives I wanted, I am a 21-year-old art student who has a dream of living from art. at least have a good level, although lately I've been getting stressed and anxiety for that reason.
Please also I would like to know how the forum works, or what has happened to it, I have seen good tutorials out there such as "enviroments rock" that even though it was done years ago, I have been practicing and reviewing it, it is quite good!
I have high hopes for this forum. I am going to post some paintings that I have done for my years of study, I feel that there are very few, and I would like to paint more, I focus a lot on drawing mainly practicing anatomy
My name is Robert and nice to meet you. I currently work in toy design and teach art on the side. Looking forward to starting a sketchbook and chronicling my journey. I post mostly on Instagram if you want to check out my work -> My Instagram
Hii, my name's Mariana but some people call me Nozomi. I'm from Uruguay, South America, and I'm currently working at an indie videogame studio as an artist.
Some years ago, a mentor told me about ConceptArt.org. I was very curious about it but never posted anything because i felt i didn't have the level to do that and also didn't know exactly what type of artist i wanted to be.
This year i had the need for a community like that, and doing some research i arrived here.
I still don't know exactly what type of artist i want to be, but i know that has something to do with illustration (and perhaps concept art).
I consider myself as a very low quality artist and i want to change that. I'm obsessed with learning, and i think the best way to learn is from other artist.
Hello everyone, my name is Shen. It's been a long time since I've last visited here. Due to complications, I'll be starting a new account.
A few months into the pandemic, I've started to settle down and prepare for my next move: finding a new job at the end of this year to middle of next year in the creative industry. That means slowly sorting my life out in terms of physical and mental well-being, integrity of character, and of course, skills to break into the art industry!
Something that changed since the pandemic started is that my old feedback loop, which was mostly in-person, is now gone, so I'll be reaching out to gather feedback online. This place being one of them.
