I've been at drawing on and off ever since I was a small kid, but never really worked very hard at improving. Trying to change that this year, cause I'm tired of not being satisfied with my works. Long-time lurker here, and when I say a long time I'm talking years here. I've always wanted to learn to draw/paint/create but only ever dipped my toe's in. After turning 30 I kind of feel like its a bit of a now or never moment. 

So I'm hoping that an awesome community will keep me on task. Like I said I've had my toes wet for about 10 years but never really committed myself properly, so I'm pretty much starting from Zero! I've spent the past decade feeling pretty unsatisfied working numbing jobs and wanting to take up art seriously, but always finding an excuse. So time to stop being a lazy git!

Looking forward to meeting some awesome people/artists.

Hello everyone!

I've know for a while about this website but while in awe I always have looked at it from the distance, mostly I thought I might not fit in with the style, even when I'm in love with most anything I see here. But I've been struggling alone for a while and I thought, it might be a good idea to step out of my hermit cave and try to get in touch with people once again.

So I'm 29 y/o, gonna hit 30. And my art track has been a mess. I picked drawing on my 20s as a hobby, and then started doing studies once I was about 22-23, that is when I discovered ConceptArt (whatever happened to that site?) and other places to get resources, got my hands on many books and did some reading. But I started to have arm/wrist pains around that time, and slowly ended up dropping drawing and moved onto trying other things, mainly 3D rendering and modelling, and I stopped altogether half a year after that. After finishing my degree on a non-related field, I picked up bike riding, and my arm go so much better! That was around 2016. On 2018 fall I picked back drawing seriously again. And here I am one year later, trying another step in hopes to keep this up.

Lets see if I can break the cycle this time around and actually push myself further.

Hello fine forum people, I haven't touched a pencil in a decade but it looks like now is the time for me to get into it again, hopefully with a valuable hindsight. I tend to revolve around a few fantasy and science-fiction stories that have been growing in my head for two decades, which I used to express as comics, occasionally as illustrations or bits of novels. I will start a sketchbook, and I spotted two groups dedicated to comics. Talk to you soon!

First off, hello! 

I've never done this type of stuff before. Ya know, join a forum and stuff. I've always been lurking in the shadows never actually interacting with people. 

But now I wanna change that. 

I've been kinda serious about art for a few years now. I studied art for three years during high school. And I fell in love with it. However, since I left school and bought myself a computer and a tablet I've been absolutely in love with creating and getting better at art. I've been having so much fun! But sometimes I kind of just want to get helpful critics about my works and just talk about great artists and art in general with someone but all the friends I have aren't artists. So I've decided to join Crimson Daggers in hopes of finding other people with similar interests!

Hey everyone, I'm atannyboy and I've recently became good enough in my work to post stuff here. I've been drawing for a while, mainly focused on human figures and anatomy. I know that I don't have to reach a standard to be able to post work but I also think that it's the right time for be to accept critiques on my work and improve as an artist.

A bit more about me, I'm in my late 20's although someone did say this year that I look like I'm 16! xD I have a background in engineering, having studied and completed Mechatronics Engineering. Although I'm also doing another degree in Game Programming. Who knows where that will lead me - but my overall goal in life is to become a YouTuber and educate people about making games and the amount of work that goes into creating a simple scene, gameplay or mechanic.

Apart from that strong interest in game development, I have a passion for traditional animation and making people move. Hopefully if I do pass these two semesters this year, I'll be able to show some of my game work in my senior years. I hope that I'll be able to build on the foundational knowledge of drawing and teach other artists some of my skills and techniques, some of which I'll be learning on this forum I'm sure!
